We are looking for a Manufacturing Manager to help us continue to grow as we open a production facility in the Las Vegas area. This position will provide an opportunity for professional growth with the ability to grow alongside the company. This role will require hands-on operational oversight for all manufacturing and operating activities. As the Manufacturing Manager, you will be accountable for standards aligned to: manufacturing production, safety, quality and operational effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage and oversee production staff and all day-to-day manufacturing activities.

  • Work directly with production staff, hands on, training staff on machinery usage and maintenance. Partner with other discipline managers to identify key training, critical experiences and developmental opportunities for individuals and teams.

  • Lead and ensure that all manufacturing production, shipping, and fulfillment activities are executed safely and in compliance with Unicity’s Total Quality requirements and meet all safety and environmental regulations.

  • Oversee the execution of consistent and quality products- while driving reliability centered manufacturing operations. Communicate all potential issues with the quality department and implement recommended changes.

  • Learn the proper operation and adjustment techniques of all production machinery, and train production staff on machinery usage. Develop and prepare SOPs and reports to improve efficiency output while reducing waste and other costs.

  • Lead and own strategic implementation results of operational efficiency programs. Champion a culture that: builds, operates and maintains a world class facility that is operationally sound, safe and efficient.

  • Develop plans, and deliver results, in a fast-changing business and regulatory environment while leading, developing, and coaching a team. Make decisions related to hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions. Collaborate with corporate leadership to ensure that staff selections align with current and future business needs.

  • Work with the Corporate Leadership developing and executing production schedules.

  • Identify infrastructure requirements necessary to achieve exceptional product quality level/operational excellence as well as to meet local regulations

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.

    • Minimum of six years of manufacturing experience.

    • Able to work with, inspire and create consensus with a group to cooperatively achieve a common goal.

    • Demonstrate strong leadership of RCI for significant unplanned events.

    • Bilingual in English and Spanish.

  • Preferred Qualifications

    • Four years of supervisory experience.

    • Mechanically inclined. Good understanding of process flows and process development.

    • Nutraceutical and/or dry bulk material manufacturing experience.

    • Familiarity with GMPs guidelines.

    • Operations and budget planning experience.

    • Operational excellence knowledge: TPM, Six Sigma, 5S
