We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of all production and facility equipment. This role is crucial in minimizing downtime, maintaining high-quality production standards, and ensuring a safe working environment through proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
The Maintenance Technician's duties include, but are not limited to:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Quickly and effectively troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and make necessary repairs to limit production downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform regular PM maintenance and repairs on production equipment according to established schedules and procedures.
- Electrical Diagnostics: Utilize a strong background in electrical diagnostics to identify, isolate, and resolve complex electrical issues within manufacturing machinery and control systems.
- Facility Inspection: Inspect facilities to identify potential maintenance issues proactively and ensure the physical plant is operating efficiently and safely.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the maintenance team and production staff to ensure all maintenance tasks, projects, and emergency repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation, including detailed notes on inspections, repairs, parts usage, and system status. Maintain inspection and repair documentation diligently.
- Inventory Management: Maintain parts inventory by tracking stock levels, assisting with ordering necessary components, and ensuring critical spares are readily available.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe work environment at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated strong background in electrical diagnostics, including the ability to read and interpret schematics, troubleshoot circuits (up to 480V), motors, PLCs, and VFDs.
- Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, and conveyor systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software (CMMS) for record-keeping and work order management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or Associate’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various conditions, including heat, cold, and confined spaces.
